I have a late-model Astra Mk4. The remote on the key fob was broken due to a knackered battery holder, so I took it along to someone I know who's handy with soldering small things, that was fixed. In the process of it we noticed that it didn't have an LED, unlike my previous Mk4's key fobs, both of which had a red light when you pressed the buttons. It now does have a (green) LED on the board, which works fine, though it seems that the place where the lens was on my previous keys is blanked off on this key. Did Vauxhall stop fitting the LEDs after a while? I've never noticed before, so I'm curious.
