Try removing it. Some kind person may have had the same issue and written the code on the stereo itself.

The VX radios aren't like the Ford ones which can be decoded by using a simple program and serial number. Your best bet is to ask a VX dealer for the car pass for your car - you'll pay around £25 for it but it includes the radio code (assuming its the one that came with the car) as well as your key number, your immobiliser code for reprogramming keys into your ECU and some other info.

i can decode delco cdr 500's but need the unit, vdo ones are 24c16 based and tbh aren't worth the hassle, but i can do them also. but unless your local to me, it's pointless.
