Headunit problems - Corsa B 1996

I've recently been having problems with my corsa headunit..

If you plug the headunit in and turn the ignition on and hold the key in "full position" it'll power up but as soon as you let go of the key it'll turn off...

Can anyone help?

all the wires in tact goin in to the plug? see if yu can give them a gentle pull to make sure there still attached.
