There's a little clip on the back of the handle needs to be pulled up, kind of looks like this (^) cba drawing it lmao
sure you need the handle pointing downwards and hook it from above, or might be able to push one side up from underneath.
Get a small hook or flathead screwdriver under the winder and flick the clip off underneath.
The winder is pushed onto a spline with a groove in it, and the clip fits in the groove and stops it from coming off. Genius and simple.

Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.

Best thing you'll ever buy is :-

Sod buying a tool :P
I just push the door card back, get a little screwdriver in there and it pops straight out!
C16SE • Cruise Control • GSi Trip Computer • 4-2-1 Manifold • OEM+ Interior • Apex -40mm Suspension
sounds alot easier than it is haha, still not got them off. will buy the tool at this rate, is the clip up tight to the window winder or is it in the doorcard?
Its up tight to the winder, push the card in and the lower washer and you should just see the clip. Carefull it will ping right with some power..
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
will be up against the door card buddy, there is about 5mm between the winder arm and where the clip is.
thanks guys, will give it a try tomorrow and see how i get on!![]()
got the doorcards off today and fitted uprated speakers, thanks for the advice everyone.
got the winder off by jamming a rag between the doorcard and window winder and pulling it out![]()
Best way I have found to do it, Is to use a cloth.
Basically roll the rag up and slide it behind the winder and lower it to the bottom. Make sure the pointed ends are touching the rag and move from side to side. It should pop up enough for you to get hold of it and pull it up.
Cheaper than buying any tool and works just as good!
