Code for 6disc changer connected to phillkips take deck

Just bought a Astra coupe convertible turbo, and needs the code, for the changer? can this only be got through vauxhall? and is there a cost? if so might as well just change the head unit?

radio works fine its a philips ccd600 tape deck unit

can i get the changer working for free?

also will the changer work of the cdr500 cd unit i think thats the right model?

If the radio is the original that left the factory with the car, then you can go to your dealer with your cars V5C (log book)
Give them 15 or 25 quid for the admin work involved (they will order a new pass for you)
after a couple of days, they should have the new audio pass for you.
