CD player not working

hi guys, wondering if anyone can help me out on this one, I fitted a CD player in my friends car and it worked fine with no issues, however once I left and she started the car up the cd player went off and will no longer come on, I have checked the obvious things like the fuse for both the car and the cd player, I have checked the wiring in the back and it all seems connected, the only I can think of is whoever fitted the other cd player had cut the wires and connected them using connector blocks, will it be a case of stripping the wires and re-connecting them?

Make sure you've checked both fuses... Perm live is fused as is the ign live, (usually its the ign live fuse which blows, to check, try ejecting the cd, if cd ejects its this fuse)....

Obviously the above is a wild guess based on experience rather than info supplied.....
