Can anyone install a CD 30 MP3 for me?

    Hi folks,

I have a Vauxhall Astra and have just bought a CD 30 MP3 to replace the current CD 30 that I have in. Does anyone know how to install / code this? I am assuming it isn't as simple as just sliding the CD 30 out and the CD 30 MP3 in?

If anyone knows how to do this and would be willing to do it for me I could bring my car to you and swing some cash your way. I'm in St Helens (near Manchester and Liverpool) but I'm willing to travel to get this done.

I know I could go to Vauxhall but I am guessing they would charge me a fortune.

Do you have the code for the new unit?
If so just order a set keys to remove your old one and slot in the new one.
If not any audio place near you would fit it in seconds.
For the love of God, please read the rules

I looked into it on my old Astra H, as I had the CD30 and wanted the CD30 MP3. There seemed to be some conflicting advice but from what I can gather the unit you're installing must be either brand new or been 'divorced' from the donor car by Tech2 before disconnecting, then plugged in and registered with the new car, again by Tech2. Some said this worked, others said it didn't and were advised that only 'factory' units can be installed.

I didn't bother in the end as I didn't want to buy a new one and didn't want to risk ordering a second hand unit I couldn't use. There was a company advertising that they could re-set a CD30 to factory mode ready for installation but I can't remember who they are now.
