    usb HDD for in car..

    Is it possible to use any hdd in a car or will it be efected by the vibration?

    A proper HDD has moving parts and a little motor, vibrations will make it skip like a mother flicker.

    You want a solid state one, like a giant flash drive. But be warey, quite a lot of head units will only handle a maximum of 2 or 4 GB. Mine won't run more than 2GB.

    To sum up, make sure your head unit can handle it, then get a flash drive one.

    16Gb usb stick does the job for me, not tried a 32 or 64Gb one yet....
