How to get Mute mode off a pioneer DEH-P2100 ! HELP

Somehow my headunit has gone into a Mute mode, where the music is playing but there is no sound, i looked on the manual and could not fix my problem...

please help

there is a little cable at the back of the headunit with a mute tag on it by the sounds of it the cages has cut through it it happened to mine easy fix with electrical tap.
