how to get the best sound out a boot build?????

as above lads im after the best sound i can get out of a false floor, i want a decent 12" sub and a decent amp, then iv got two new alpine door speakers and twaters, and thats all i want, so how would i go about getting the best bass?? i dont want no sub in a box then build round it i want just the 12" sub sank into the fulse floor let me no people cheers

Your sub will need some knid of ported or sealed enclosure to work effectively. You will need to work out the volume of the enclosure needed by the type of sub that you have.

how would i work that out lol , i was just gonna put it in a false floor but box it in underneth so then it also acts as a sealed unit

yh im gonna sink it into the spare wheel hole abit not alot its gonna be raised or even might just sink it right in to it, what you think? and what do people reccomened for a decent amp and sub ?

use what you want to mate you can always tweek the amp to suit if you are to sink it then i think sealed floor and around the back of the sub insulate with insulation thats known to improve abit, or do the same but make a small hole aswell theres ways of doing it others have diffrent ways to do it but this would be the options id go with would aslo help with vibrations if you insulate behind it

insulation stuff like out of the loft kind of thing or cotton wool

If you want to go straight into the spare wheel well you will need to insure you buy a sub that requires minimum space or port the bugger. As for insulation you want flashing tape or that expensive stuff which you can get from Demon Tweeks. Flashing tape will be just the ticket though.

You will be looking at spending a pretty penny for a sub good enough to sink into a small hole. As for amp, just make sure that its man enough for the sub you buy.

flashing tape is good but when the weather is silly hot it can melt a little - cheaper than dyamat

yh i mite mate im gonna go and pic a couple of peaces of ood tomoz and make a box but i do want it quid shallow so it doesent take that much of my boot up
