    Hawk Alarm help?

    Hi,

Iv just bought a Hawk Ha - 20 Pro alarm, and started fitting it today, its got loads of features like remotre start etc, but iv not connected them as i dont want it!

So i have bassically, connected the alarm to the battery, and used the shock + ultra sonic sensors, and didnt connect anything else.

But stupidly i forgot that it has a 30 second auto re-arm, so now i unlock the car, drive off, then it locks itself and the alarm goes off lmao

So i was wandering do i just need to connect the wires from the alarm to the ignition wires?

And how do i do it? i.e can i just cut the wire, put a terminal block in and then add my other wire?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

(sorry if what iv said dosent make sense too lmao)

You have to connect the THICK YELLOW wire to a switch 12V supply, I didn't do this and the same happened.

Mate dont mean to sound harsh but your fitting an alarm and you dont know what a switched live is? Thats quite a bad fail in itself Good luck getting your remote start working

Should be a spare slot in the fuse box somewhere then it can have a fuse too instead of being unfused from the ign

    Re: Hawk Alarm help?

Connect the door curcuit up as the alarm will not know you have got in and will rearm
Or better still get someone to fit it properly
if you have lots of features get them to work for you
Just dont fit remote start ( will invalidate your insurance ) and you will need a bypass module
