    Astra mk4 van ariel join?

Hi, ive a mk4 astra van, the std vauxhall aerial plug has been cut off, and a std pin type plug has been taped onto the cable. So the radio is non existant

Is there a join in the aerial cable (eg on corsa b's theres a join down beside the glove box in the passenger kick pannel)

I dont listen to the radio alot, but its a pain not having the option.

Should be a join in the centre console to the right of the gearlever. A lead from there to the headunit can be got from vauxhall

just like the other 2 lads said, it's in the centre console but unlike a car it runs down the passenger side of the van

    Brilliant, cheers guys.

Is it a vauxhall specific lead then? (looks like its threaded in the pic?)

Does the hatchback share this front lead? (just the routing of the rear section being different?)

    Thats it, i dont know

i think std vaux lead to h/u is a grey iso female, which has bee cut off, and an iso male taped to it..

I want to replace this front section from the join shown in the above pic, wil the adapter lead i gave the link for be suitable?

Also why do people cut the end of aerial plugs?? IDIOTS!

That hirshman lead you posted won;t fit the connector down by the gearstick

Try vauxhall for a price on the lead, they sell them on their own from the headunit to that connector

Tried that, both vauxhall and autovaux could only find one piece aerial lead
Apparently the amplified base is prone to failure, so going to replace the whole thing, mega money from vaux, but found a replacement amplified aerial base and lead on ebay, so hopefully that fixes it
