Anyone fitted a double din HU in a calibra ?

bought one for my old lexus a while back, but going back to my dtm calibra now winters closer to its end and I cannot see any way of getting it to fit without chopping the centre console up, and knowing me, likely make a total hash of it.

Any ideas, experiences, or tips ? Many thanks !

Buy a spare off ebay then use that as a mock up to practice on etc etc!

Cheers, thats just what I had come to mind, buy a couple of em and mess about until I get a fit. Leaves me with the problems of to much gap under the unit ( or over depending ) and moving the temp and volt gauges too........somewhere....that looks OK and not require rewiring everything and loads of gauges up the pillar where I already have the boost gauge.

Sure some have done this at some point, so I shall seek out some spare dash trims etc.
