    power to sub

    Right have had my sub up and running now for about 4 months with no problems, until today. i jumped in the car to go to work and noticed there was no basscoming from the sub. so wen i got to work i had a look and noticed that there was no power getting to the sub. iv checked both fuses, rebolted the earth, checked the battery and the remote but still nothing

    any ideas any1

    might just be the simple case that it,s funked if you reconnected everything!

    It could be.
    Get a multi-meter to the 12v feed, see if it's got 12v at the amp end. Check for continuity to the earth, and then check for a voltage at the amp signal with the car and stereo turned on.
    If the answer is yes to all the above, check the continuity on the wire from the amp to the sub/sub box, with the car off. If it's okay to the sub box, take the sub out, and check the cable from the box to the sub. If no box, it sound like the sub needs investigation.

    could be the amp fried my mates works then it dont and its summit blown in the amp

    was about £100 . ave checked the power with a test light and thats working fine and so is the earth is seems to be a problem with the remote but havent fiquered out if its at the stereo or smewhere in the cable yet will require further investigation

    well usaully you find that the cheaper ones dont last long atol! But then again jst give everything a once over

    put the remote on an ignition live this will determine if its a fault with the remote out of stereo.

    remote wire might have poped off...check if the amp is getting power first, if not, remove headunit and pull out the large plug then refit and it "should" start working again

    problem solved. checkee the remoe wire both at the sub and from the stero was gettin it at stereo but not at sub so was a wire fault. begin removing the wire to find it had been crused under a bolt. i just removed the cut section and were happy beating againg. thanks every1 for your help.
