    Intellistart 4 help!!!!

Hi im new to the site so sorry if iv put this in the wrong place,

i recently got a mk3 astra sport fitted with a c20xe, and fitted to it is a clifford concept 450 and intellistart 4.

the intelistart was not wired up so today i got myself a wiring diagram and sat and spent 3 hours routing wires and making all the necessary connections.

i then went to test it and the safe mode (hold in 2 buttons take key out and car continues to run) works lovely and so does the engine shut off when system is armed but when i press the remote start sometimes it makes the waring about to start flashes and chirps and then nothing , it doesnt start?

im at my wits end with this , and would be very gratefull if anyone who has had this problem or any one who is a clifford fitter could help me out be it either just advice or a price for it sorting

    thanks in advance
    ian

What you can hear the starter turning when you use the fob but its not enough for the engine to catch? Or it just chirps and fails to even try? Have you wired the starter solenoid wires in correctly? it sounds like its keeping the ign live ok in safe mode but your getting no solenoid feed for remote start.

well since my last post , the safe mode is still fine but now when i try to remote start there is nothing no chirps / flashes

and answer to your question mate no i have not heard the starter try yet on remote start, the white/blue wire from intellistart is to the black/red wire at ign which i think is craking feed,

its a strange one last my rag with it now lol

Yes thats the correct wire for starter and im not sure on the alarm wire colours but im sure you checked the distructions. Is there a inhibit wire on intellistart for say handbrake on? think it can be either + or - on some alarms and it wont even try to start if not correct.

    exactly, not legal anyway.

if you are not in the vehicle, its gotta have the handbrake/transmission brake applied and engine off. So why bother. Just something else to go wrong with dodgy wiring and cheap crap relays just waiting to cause a problem.

Serious? If you got kids to sort out just start the car and by the time you get out there its warm and the windows are clear unless you have one touch controls.

That will be why my car has a diesel-fired secondary heating system then. Engine and cabin all nicely warmed up by sending the car an SMS message!
