Toad AI606 Immobiliser Problem
Hi People
Got a small problem. I have wired in the toad alarm and I thought everything was fine. Car locks/unlocks as it should. Alarm sounds if I open the door with the key when alarm is armed and also goes off if I am sat in the car. So far so good.
Now on to the problems!!
After disarming the alarm for the first time I attempted to start the car and all electrics in the car went dead. Turning the ignition off and on did not rectify this so I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and everything worked again?? I input the pin code as suggested in the toad manual and now the alarm no longer "trips" all the car's electrics when attempting to start the car, however both immobiliser circuits do not appear to be working as I am able to start the car whilst the alarm is armed (alarm goes off but car can be driven away).
I have wired the 4 immobiliser wires as follows: two into the fuel pump cable and 2 into what I have deduced from the car's wiring diagram to be the ignition live cable to the starter motor. In both circuits I have cut out a length of wire and soldered each of the immobiliser wires to each of the cut wires. Is this correct? Or are you supposed to just solder the immobilisation wires onto the wire/circuit at different points so that you are left with a loop?
Any help appreciated!

Re: Toad AI606 Immobiliser Problem
Everything sounds likes it's wired in correctly.
I'm not up to speed with toad alarms but i wonder if you have put it in some sort of valet mode?
