I fitted a Nokia CK-7W kit in my mum's new shape corsa using an autoleads loom. The only things visible are a control button and mic. Audio is fed through the stereo. I had the same in my old Astra and similar in my wife's old Meriva. The Meriva had part of the factory prewiring installed (VDA loom) which made it even simpler.
I believe there are also CAN interfaces available for nokia and parrot kits to use the steering wheel controls.
il look into that was just looking for pointers, i thought vauxhall might have had a standard handsfree as an option in some of the high end models?
I looked into the Vauxhall bluetooth as a retrofit, but when I asked was told of the rediculous amount of parts required, plus dealer programming so gave it up as a bad idea. That's not to say it's not worth looing into again. From what I could tell it needed the blutooth module itself, the loom, microphone and the mono graphic display.
The vauxhall kit will be a lot of work to retro fit.
I would suggest the nokia ck100 which just has a button and a microphone with the right autoleads or a parrot 3000 evo kit which again has just a button and a mic.
