Had my Pioneer head unit for about 9 years and it is still good now .
Cost about £400 new with 6 disc changer .

You can control the sub power and frequency and shelf speaker frequencys by the push of a button

You can turn the sub off completely too .

Also has Disco / Live / Rock and all that crap or your own setting .

2 sets of RCA's / front and rear .

Don't do MP3 .... yet .

The kenwood i have in mine now, KRC877R is at a guess 10yrs old....has it in my 1st Calibra, then in my Cav Diplomat and its been in this Calibra since i bought it almost 6yrs ago....had a few issues with it, but mainly buttons breaking in the latter years.

Its a great sounding unit, and i got it for next to nothing when i bought it new as it was what they call a 'last years model'...think it cost me £180, and its RRP was £320

and i still own a Pioneer R/C that i bought 12yrs ago

Had my current Pioneer 8600 for 4 years, previous one for about the same amout of time and only got a new one because it was stolen.

I still have my first Pioneer stereo with 6 disc changer that was in use for about 9 years and 3 different cars

Had my JVC KD-SH99R for about four years, honestly the best head unit I've ever used. So good it should be illegal, 2 normal line outs and a dedicated sub out, and the EQ is about as adjustable as it gets, love it long time

10 years for me.

Had my current Head Unit for a little over 3yrs I think....Which for me is nothing short of a miracle....

Its a Becker Mexico Pro....Stacked full of features such as, tone control, balance & fader control, loudness feature, sub level adjustment & thats about it....lol.... But, compared to all my previous units, its simply spot on....

Would I replace it.... Yes, for a Mcintosh....
Would I sell it.... Never....
