Vectra immobilser query

Got a vectra 1.8 W reg all of a sudden it wont start so I had flashed the codes it's saying immobiliser problem...any way around this or do I have to get vauxhall to re-set/flash the key? iirc its £50 or £95 to do this.

Try disconnecting the battery for half an hour - I've seen some Omegas with a similar problem and this fixed it.

Ooh, hopefully it can be remedied mucker, but these 1.8 16v ecu's on the back of the inlet manifold are prone to failing.

Have you dropped your key recently? Has the chip inside the key been dislodged?
