I just fitted a Sniper "easy fit" to my corsa, it has the availability or central locking aswell. About £25 delivered from ebay, good alarm, easy to fit, simple instructions.
    no problems

    Re: Decent budget alarm

Is there such a thing as a 'decent' 'budget' alarm.

Why not just buy a cheap keyless entry kit

you get what you pay for i would personally spunk a little bit more money on an alarm as you will get the money back with cheaper insurance premiums (providing you get it fitted by a pro and get a cert to prove)

    Re: Decent budget alarm

    agree with Steve,

alot of alarms depends on the actual kit and how you fit it.

Worse than having an alarm is one that false alarms every 5 minutes, doesnt work
    or lock you out.

I would suggest you get it done properly.

or put a VISIBLE deterrant on the car,

having been there, done that, got the tshirt, and pissed off neigbours with a forever sounding alarm

easy to fit means easy to remove thats why its £25..... if you want piece of mind spend some more an get an aprroved alarm, the cheap kits can be dissarmed in seconds most with very little or no effort. Iwouldn't spend any less than 150 quid on an alarm, you get wot ya pay for especially with alarms
Just bring me Tea & Biscuits an a ciggarette............ nothing more....
