Question can someone give me advice on how to fiberglass

rite i am goin to mould a lilliput vga touch screen into my dash and dont want to use filler as it has the tendency to crack. im unsure wether to install it where the air vents are like i did with my 7"lcd or install it where the mfd goes like this http://www.astraownersclub.com/4imag...p?image_id=186 but how would i do it like in the link i posted. can anyone give me some advice on how i would do it with fibreglass.

If you find the one lee may had i made that.

You'll need to work out where you want to put the screen, then take the casing off the screen and fit(screw) it in to place, then mask up the front.
Fromthe rear of the concole you'll have to push in fiberglass (fitting the gap between case and concole) when its dry peel the tape off, you'll then need to sand it back so its smooth and the shape fits with the concole, sand and refill will be needed, you'll have to use filler to get a good finish. Thhen when its smooth and the shapes right you can primer it, then paint.

Remembering that the tops of the concole have a uv coating on it that will need to be removed/cleaned off as you wont get fiberglass/paint to stick to it.

i want to do it exactly as it is in the link i posted. what im stuck with is how do i get the shape. also is the uv protection the rubery coating on it if so i no that has to be sanded off. i had to do it for my last screen i did but i put it where the vents are. this time i want to keep the vents and hazard switch

It might be a wooden frame put in place thern the sides filled to be that shape, i cant say for sure..

thanks. so if i sand down my centre console and make a wooen suround screw it to the centre console then fiberglass over it then insert screen
