| Am confused as to what wiring adaptor i need, is it a iso connector? I have bought a mk3 p reg 1.6 astra duo, had a sc201 car cass (with display) in it (had a lady owner) so putting in my sony b/t cd stereo in I bought few month ago. Managed to get cage out had 2 clips at bottom which never realised at first.
However, my stereo was simple install on previous motor same connectors, but the vauxhall i have just found out is different, wiring harness attached to cage, and one block with 3 sections, and the ariel has a 90% end on it.
Am confused as to what wiring adaptor i need, is it a iso connector? Not understanding all this.
Also would this be the same for a t reg vectra arctic 2, (wifes car i getting in january).
Many thanks
KS

| Re: help The aerial connection is sorted by fitting the relevant adapter, (available from Halfords, Motorworld etc etc)...
With regards the actual loom;
The power and speaker connectors from the Sony loom will simply plug into the Vaux plugs, (the third Vaux plug feeds the MFD etc)....You will need to swap the wires round on the supplied Sony loom to maintain the memory, (there are bullet connectors in place to facilitate this), the wiring should be;
Yellow---to---red
red---to---yellow |

| Re: Am confused as to what wiring adaptor i need, is it a iso connector? You need to get a photobucket account, upload the pictures there and then post them here
The MK3 Astra and Vectra will have a connector like this though (ignore the red cross)
The 2 smaller parts are ISO which your sony should have a seperate wiring plug that will go staight into. As mentioned above though the red and yellow wires need to be swapped over
I'm sure the Sony headunit should also come with a aerial adaptor like THIS |

| Re: Am confused as to what wiring adaptor i need, is it a iso connector? Take the diaplay out (easy on the MK3) and cut the red/white wire. That pics for the same issue on the MK4's |
