CDR500 faceplate query.

Hi all, i have a CDR500 with the faceplate missing, will any faceplate fit? just wondering as it's the set thats coded, not the faceplate. Cheers.

you can fit a new removable panel but you will have to re enter the code for the stereo (not the panel) to use it again

hi i tryed that myself ive got the booklet it says the face off bit is coded to your stereo ive got same problem of to vauxhall i thinkmine just displays the word panel i got a new one just says the same

it says the word PANEL because you have changed the panel from the original one

this is normal

you need to enter the code you have for YOUR CD player

if you have lost the code for your stereo you will need to either get it or get it recoded

it has nothing to do with the panel

Just make sure you get the correct brand remember AC Delco and Siemens VDO made them

i think you can use Philips panels in AC Delco radios as i have done this

but i'm sure VDO Siemens must be the same type (never tried a Delco or Philips one in them)

worth a try though...

if you need a VDO Siemens panel i have one for sale

hi just been vauxhalls with mine they say if you have a late model vdo stereo the same as me you panel is coded to stereo if u have a 51 plate or before just a new panel will slot straight on
