    toad alarm

hey guys my friends corrado has a cat 1 toad alarm fitted, and seems to work fine, but sometimes when locked/unlocked it will sound and flash twice as normal, and other times it will do it 3, 4 or 5 times on locking or unlocking . the car didnt come with any user instructions so we're not sure if this means anything? or if its just on its way out???

    any help would be great.

    corsa let
when you arm/lock it should sound and flash once and flash twice to disarm/unlock. if it sounds and flashes five times then you need to check your bonnet, tailgate and door pins.

this is how the alarm informs the user it has been triggered. each different number of flashes indicates which area of the alarm actually picked up a possible attempted entry,(for example three flashes for interior sensor, four flashes for door opening, five flashes for boot or bonnet).

these are only examples and are not correct for every alarm, try searching the web for a PDF manual, in fact i will have a quick look......

here you go, check page 8....

if it sounds right to you, then its right.

when it flashes more times then it should it means the arming prosses was interupted its down to an electrical fault its proberly an electrical serge or just a short in the wiring but if it was my alarm messin me about like that id ring an electrision to find the fault

Not neccesarily down to an electrical fault, could be the door/bonnet etc is open, or even on my corsa if you try to arm it with the interior light on it beeps more than once letting you know somethings up.
