    Which Head Unit do you have in your car?

    This is mine: Sony MEX-BT2500 CD Player



    Plays MP3\WMA audio and copied CDs
    Bluetooth built in for handsfree calls
    AUX for attaching a MP3 player

    Ive got a 10 Disc changer on an FM Modulator as the head unit isnt changer compatible.

    The original Philips Cassette Radio from 1990. Still works 100% and refuses to come out! I think its welded in!!!!!!!!

    It works well enough for me, does what I need plus i want the speed dependant volume control and phone volume adjustment.

    Neil - no radio is ever welded in. I have found real pains in getting radio's out but have mastered most one that seem to be stuck

    Hate the sound of Pioneers & Alpines are pretty pants IMO unless spending big bucks. The cheap ones literally keep Alpine in the market at that price level.

    My 2 head units I've owned in 10 years keep going, all my mates ruin them in less than 2 years. I only bought my 2nd because the 1st was stolen.

    Got a Kenwood KVC1000 TV headunit in mine with 10disc changer, lasted me 8 years so far.

    Full Circle of Evolution, Astra to Rover to Evo to Rover and now back in an Astra :)

    Old school Kenwood KDC-9090R. Really nice functional bit of kit that fits in nicely with teh athstetics of a cavalier dash. TBH had a few modern head units like the alpine touch screen dvd 3100R (or whatever it was) and not only did I just find it a toy and never really used it but it also looked so out of place it just brought the whole interior of the car down to something the look a pile of poo.

    The 9090 does what I want it to and complements the 90's world of the cav dash.

    Oh obviously the above is only my take on it all and everyone should ignore what I've said as it's rubbish (just seen all the pics above )

    Well I had this one in the Corsa but removed it as there is no battery in the car, so anything less the to entice thieving little gits is a bonus. It will be going back in as it does the job! Its oldschool retro cool! The headunit was free off a mate and I bought the changer off Angryman!



    The R5 doesn't have one and I doubt will be acquiring one either!
