Which Head Unit do you have in your car?

i have seen that too, very nice looking about £250 iirc.
No of pre-outs?
any external bits of kit needed to actually connect the ipod?
does the wheel work like an ipod? or does it come out a bit to turn it then push it flush again?

The wheel stays out, and it doesnt spin it turns over to scroll, then if you turn it more it quick scrolls. It has the normal pre outs (including a dedicated sub out). It has a usb cable that can connect to ipod, usb hard drive or a usb stick to play music from. Also comes with an ipod cable to connect to the usb cable (for generation 5 ipods, older ipods you need a different cable I think). The menu systems are very similar to an ipod so its quite simple to search for things. I think one of the main differences is that instead of the ipod generating the sound signal (like what ipod adapters do in other units) this unit reads the data itself and then processes it, giving it better sound quality.

it comes complete with no pre-outslmao ,(you have to purchase a seperate pre-out interface).

the beckers vary in price like most units, i paid 250 inc postage last year, the same unit is available through motorworld at 599. if you require hands free the becker grand prix unit has bluetooth,(around 330), or you could opt for a full blown unit,(inc sat nav), for around 1000.

drizz i just pm'd you mate. im going to do a full 'how to' on my system as not enough people have in car computers for my likeing.

If you compare what it cost me to make the whole system in comparison to any other head unit on the market that even comes close to the spec of mine it will probably be about 4 times the price.

Blaupunkt Santa Cruz, mine had no preouts so you have to buy a separate interface lead for them allows you to plug in Aux input and iPod interfaces.
