    Lightbulb Which Alarm is Best

    Hi All

    Another Newbie question here!

I am going to be de-locking and dehandling my Vauxhall Corsa B, but i am unsure as to which alarm is best to use.

Basically i want to be able to operate the door poppers from the Key fob. Which alarm system would be best suited to this.

    Thanks in Advance

    Slatz

the clifford and viper range is very good. The Viper range comes with a LCD 2 way pager and they also have 5 channels free so that you can add many extras such as door pop.

Always rated the Laserline myself, the Cat 1 models should be capable of doinf what you want.

laslerline is just a standard cat 1 system but if you want gadgets on your alarm then clifford and viper are the best

then the alarm is as good as whoever hears it, or as good as how fast you can run!!!!lmao

seriously though, car security is coming on in leaps and bounds, that's why car jacking is on the increase, or the now easier option of breaking into the home and taking the keys.

this is where i park when visiting the city centre,(what a crime rate,ZERO).
take a little time to read it, they actually guarantee your car will be safe.

a friend purchased a clifford alarm, because they say if your car is stolen they will give you your money back, he actually believed they were agreeing to pay him the full value of his car lmao

my car was broken into in 1996, actually caught the git in the act, he had totally destroyed the centre console and was in the process of removing the rear speakers. his face dropped when he seen me standing next to the car, grabbed the little git by his hair and threw him in the boot. took him for a midnight drive out to wetton, told him the next time he'd get a kickin, then left him to walk,(25 miles, 10 of which was through the peak district, assuming he knew which way to golmao ).

just for the record i have a cobra cat1 alarm fitted, cost £200 fitted, its now over 2yrs old and has never given any problems,(the guy also removed a clifford alarm that was faulty at the same time).
if it sounds right to you, then its right.

See the thing with alarms are they are only as good as the person who installed them. When you install an alarm you can really make it difficult for anyone to remove using self emalgermating tape, which makes the looms very inaccessable, but if you know what your doing then then it's easy to disable any alarms in a matter of minutes.

i had a clifford alarm installed by gap about a year ago and i had a guy come to swap it over from my car to my new one and this is what he found wrong

the alarm box it self is supposed to be screwed down (it was held on by cable ties)

the system wasnt fused how it should be

20 amp fuse to the siren where there should have been a 2 amp fuse

a black box should of been put over 2 white plugs to stop the alarm from being unplugged and switched off

and instead of wireing in blackjax they just decided to put some tape over the wires

the clifford alarms are good tho but just get it wired up by somebody other than gap security
