clifford blackjax4 playing up

i have clifford blackjax fitted to my car which has been fine for around 2 years but its got increasingly more difficult disarming it taking 3 or 4 goes using the valet switch. its getting rather annoying now.

a) im guessing you can get a replacement switch ?

b) is it covered by warentee ? as im sure clifford stuff had lifetime warentee

cheers

think its either 5 years OR the lifetime of the car (that you have it)

change the switch, or at least take it out and see if the connection is ok, or needs resolderings or cable connection is loose.

just a standard Toggle switch, Tandy/Maplins etc will stock it

Standard toggle switch won't work for the G4/G5 alarms (which this must be, as anything pre-G4 didn't have blackjax)..
The G4/G5 valet switches offer a resistance when one button is pressed, and closed circuit for the other IIRC.

Check with your local dealer - last time I checked, a new valet switch was only about £7

All Clifford Products come with lifetime warranty but this only covers the brain of the product. The switch (pad) is only covered for 1 year. You can get a switch from your local dealer and the most it will cost you will be £15.
