    Clifford Alarm Retailers [Concept 650]

Can you list below where I might look to get a Concept alarm bought and fitted at a fairly reasonable price? I don't really want to be paying more than £400.

The car is a Vectra B, and I am located around Nottingham.

    Cheers, Andrew.

www.cliffordalarms.co.uk Did mine, although couldn't do it at my place as the car was still fitted with the Vauxhall factory alarm which caused some problems, as it needed stripping out completely.

Concept 650 is £350 installed before extras

Thats pretty damn good.. I was expecting at least £100 more than that + extras.
So will they rip out the standard alarm then? What about the immobiliser / key / transponder, will it keep original immobiliser?

Might be making a phone call later then

They asked me if I wanted to keep the original immobiliser instead of the clifford one, but that meant more faffing about when I get in the car, so I said rip the lot out and put a fresh alarm in.

I've had 3 now, 2 G4's and a G5 and all of them have been fine. All the problems I've heard of have been with older generation Cliffords, or alarms that have been poorly installed. Granted you can get a lot more for your money by buying something other than a Clifford, but that's your prerogative.

Fully agree with J. If you go to an authorised dealer you should be ok.

We currently have the C650 on special offer for £325 fitted and that will come with Dual Zone proximity and Blackjax. The system will also come with lifetime warranty for parts & LABOUR.

All in the fitter. Don't use clifford direct. They are GAP under another name, and are appauling. They sub contract out there work, and don't give you any warranties of any value. Well not to me anyway.
For sale, Calibra bits. Two Stainless exhausts. One stainless decat. Airbag. Lots of bits lying around.

Lifetime labour warranty is possibly the best advert for a shop. I know of the boys at motorguard, and will happily say that their offer of lifetime warrnty is not needed. They dont so it wrong! (like me lmao )

Motorguard, if i bring a car to you with a 650 fitted, can you do me a certifciate for it for insurance purposes? (for a fee of course!)

I installed mine myself and hence havent got a stamp for it.
Its a full uk spec unit.

Yes we can do that for you. We will have to look at the fit of course & it will cost you £25 for a new certificate.

Ideal, and presumabley if there are any issues with the fit you can rectify them at my cost as well?

Not been an issue before but im changing insurers soon and they are insisting on seeing a certificate for it you see.

Thanks for your time to comment

I know everyone says go to trading standards and get your money back!

    As long as you know.

Re: Clifford Alarm Retailers [Concept 650]

You guys are damn right he has an alarm fetish. This chap turned up at 10.30 to have his alarm fitted when his car was booked at 9.00. He couldnt see what the problem was when told we had other cars to do. He had clearly just woken up. He then kept going on about being told he could come at anytime, swearing and just acting like a complete idiot. At this point we realised this customer would be more trouble than worth so returned his deposit(which we should have kept) of £50 and told him he could get the alam fitted elsewhere. He drove off in his mk 1 golf being very abusive and telling us how he would slate us on all forums. What a pathetic attempt. Some people are real sad and need to get a life. No body has ever said a bad word about our work and now this numpty thinks he can ruin our reputation. Get a life.
