kenwood head unit

hi i have a kenwood 9021 cd head unit
i started my car today and the head unit turned on and the radio played but no display then it went off and in to the mask mode
has anyone had this problem or any tips on what to do cheers

I've seen some problems like this before with kenwoods.

Obviously if it has gone to mask and won't turn, you need to press the corner (bottom or top left - I think) to open it back up.

The problems sounds like it could be one of 3 things.
1. Your head unit is faulty
2. Wiring problem
3. The connection between the front and back has a problem.

I have seen no. 3 a few times with kenwoods. So worth a look!

took it out the car today and went up to my local repairer and they said its normaly the thin cable that has worn.

i should have it back soon
