So you've got spacers to move them out and they're still too deep?
How much more clearance do you need?

My old kenwoods had the same problem. I managed to space the speaker out one one side only by about 10-15mm so it was sitting at a angle. I made up thse spacers out of fiberglass

I only spaced out as much as I needed and don't know how much more play there was. Oh and I was already using the correct adaptors

Bugger! If you get them spaced adequately, won't they stick out too much?
Not thought of another location in the area?

I thought about moving them towards the back of the door buty then it dawned on me that thw window mech has to drop in that space.

Im thinking that maybe ill have to chop the door card a tad to accommodate the extra clearance then re upholster the sodding thing but would like to avoid if poss.

have you heard of any good door pod builders that could make some bespoke bad boys

i cut alot of the panel to the left side of the hole, not the channel it's self but some of the mounting bracket for the channel.

if you can find a pic of a door i'll draw on where abouts i cut
