Question Where is safe to drill a hole for my amp cable?

As the title suggests I need to find a safe place to drill a hole to thread my amp cable through the firewall. I have a mk3 astra cabrio. Any ideas? Anyone done this before?

don't drill a hole! take the glove box out and there's a grommet into the engine bay!

4 screws! as you look at the glove box there's 2 under the lid at the front and 2 when you open it, real easy mate

Should be loads of grommits, with plenty of room for your amp cable mate!

well done lads, easy peasy! one question though. I fitted a nakamichi headunit running an alpine v12 amp on type r 6.5" components. Why does my headunit get sooo hot? I mean seriously hot! (the amp in the H/U is not connected)
