No Sub when playing CD Changer

I've got a fairly old Sony tape unit with a cd changer. Never used the cd changer before and tried to plug it in today.

Bus cable goes in the back and there's a line out for the changer aswell.

I've got the front speakers going through the HU and have no rear speakers. The amp output for the rear speakers is what's being used to power the subs.

The subs work fine on the radio but when I switch to changer it cuts out. any gen?

    Simps.

Surely that won't be the case? How do I measure that?

CD changer has L + R coming out, surely these'll have to go to the sub as well?! The data cable doesn't carry sound. Radio is part of the tape player.

surely th ehead unit has an input for the cd changer sound leads? then these should feed out the pre out same as radiio. can be resolved with a double adapter in the back of the head unit so as to feed the unit and the sub from the same cable.

the problem you have is that the remote on cable that runs to the amp (thin blue cable usually) has been connected to the aerial output on the back of your headunit, and not the remote output. Both these cables are usually blue so easy to get mixed up.

Until it is fixed, just press the TA (traffic anouncements) button when your listening to a CD and the amp should come on)

Nice one! Thought it might be something to do with that! I've actually got the remote wire feeding the amp remote AND the aerial.
