2. Get them to cut round it using mdf, effectively using the carpet as a stencil, then get them to cut it in half (otherwise it wont go into the boot!)
3. Buy some old carpet then stick that on the mdf
4. Wedge the two pieces of mdf into boot (might need a rubber mallet if its a tight fit!)
5. Use a pack of 8 'corner brackets' from a diy shop, these are 'L' shaped brackets ideal for this situation
6. Position your sub where you want it to go, then screw the brackets into place (into the mdf floor, NOT the sub), 2 at each of the four sides.
Thanks, i may well have to do it like that. Just wanted to avoid adding a wooden floor as my spare wheel would be harder to get to, but i guess it dosnt really matter. I'll have a play over the weekend
My girlfriend made me a 1" nylon strap with a clip on one end and velcro on the other. The clips fits to a hole under the shelf and the velcro loops around a random hoop thing in the boot. It's never moved an inch since!
