Quite possibly, especially as you probably haven't remedied what caused the fuse to go in the first place. It's also a fire hazard.

Try another 10 and check the wiring, if it still pops it, put a 15 in. 25 is bit much really.Originally Posted by scott61985

its a m8s its strange had the battary off we put a new one in connected it back up and the head unit fuse went nd sum fuses in the fusebox

The fuses are given a certain rating for a reason -- for protection. They are already specified with some 'spare' to allow for peaks etc. If you substitute a higher one you run the risk of operating the unit above it's temperature and/or current range. This will damage the unit and in a worst case could lead to fire.

If the 10 amp fuse keeps blowing, you've got a fault. Putting a bigger fuse in won't solve the problem, you need to find the fault. Try taking the head unit out. If the fuse still blows, it's a problem with the wiring, if it doesn't, it's the head unit.
