    anyone got any views on these - bear in mind im not after an install in my car - i require a nice head unit with mp3 playback - touchscreen is a nice gimmick but other than that whats your views - i dont want a headunit ablaze with buttons - just simple like this one but the black 552 version

    these are very good units, i have a JVC KD-AVX1 but the internalls are very similar... they are top notch for SQ too with the 5 volt pre outs....

    the only other one i like is pioneer dex-p90rs which i thinks too expensive for me ( havnt found a price for one yet)

    wow, didnt notice that.... not good, i have MP3 on DVD so would be no good to me either, no need for a changer with 50 albums on one disc.... ;-)

    JVC are ****. We've had so many returns at work that its unbelievable.

    I'd opt for the Pioneer.

    Try halfords first.

    i've got an imported 550, looks cool with the backlight set to red

    touch screen is cool, line in for ipod or similar, never used the mp3 from cd

    go for that one with the 3" tv screen, that plays mp3 off dvd, looks the shizzle
