    radio cutting out?

    hi i got a 93 astra and my radio cuts out wen the lights are switched on or the blowers are put on high it dont trip out so much when the engine is runing but u cant turn it up to high?

    could be a number of things.

    it's power related as in, it's not getting enough.

    could be faulty/loose connection to unit, ( most likely) +ve -ve

    speaker wires back to front

    speakers being overloaded.


    mine used to do it when batt was running low/

    have you managed to fix it yet ? what was wrong mine keeps cutting of when ever i try to play a cd or listen to radio ( every blody time ) ive got a astra mk3

    ive tested the radio in other cars (fine every time)
    i got a new battery and tested the volage (fine every where)
    i checked all the wiring and then got halfords to check(perfectly fine)
    im running out of ideas fast and slowly going crazy with no music im starting to sing to myself i need help please or even some ideas

    tryed diffrent head unit didnt work then changed door speakers and it worked one of them was blown and was shorting the curcuit try it on yours ?

    so to celebrate i just brought a 15" 1800 watt sub new box and 1800watt amp
