Removing Astra MK4 rear door panel
One of the speakers has died in the rear door, I tried to get the door card off but get stuck at the window winder, I cant see a way of getting it off.
I am worried about being too heavy handed with it just in case i break somthing, does anyone have instructions (preff with idiot pics) on how to remove the door card please.?
Thx guys.

Apologies for hijacking thread, but....
I have searched through the ICE section, and rather than create a new thread, I thought this thread was a close runner to my issue. Basically, me and interior trim don't get on very well....it breaks on me
On the Astra G Coupe, when replacing the rear "door" panel speakers (yes, there's no door, but it describes the panel area well), can just the metal speaker cover be removed, or, does the whole interior trim section need removing (as you would with the front doors)?
Thanks for looking

there is a clip on the winder. its a U shaped clip that u can pull off with either circlip pliers or with a bent very small screwdriver. Its on the curved piece of the winder underneath the handle. Its a pig to describe but get a torch and look and you will see it, it needs to be slid off the winder spindle. I found this clip after lots of swearing, coffee and several fags trying to get the winder off. Haynes manual is a valuable piece of kit!

the rest off the door is easy there are some screws on the handle one on the lower part of the door and two behind the tweeter covers. then give it a tug and the clips will pop out(you will break at least one). then pull up to release the window rubber this was a pig on mine and pop the door lock pull out from the back off the handle.
take your time and make sure you have all the screws out.

Re: Removing Astra MK4 rear door panel
hi just a quick tip i learned along the way to remove the pin in seconds, get an old rag or a tea towel and slide it behind the winder between that and the door panel. then then hold one end of the rag in one hand and the other end in the other hand and then just pull from side to side as tho you are polishing the bar holding the winder. .. the pin gets caught in the fibers of the towel or rag and pulls it out in one go usually.. no pliers no hastle hope this helps some one kev
