you have to remove the cage to get the new unit in mate. Check to see if there is a screw at the back of the cage (in the middle, usely a T15 star bit). Remove this, squash the cage top to bottom and pull out slowly. When half way out, use a small flat blade screwdriver to relaese the clips and remove the plug (looks like 3,its a single plug), do the same with the aerial.
Put in the new cage and you'll find loads more room behind the stereo !!
