    Bloody laserline alarm!!!

Got a laserline cat 1 alarm/imob (not sure on model no, will dig it out)
but every time i set the alarm it beeps three times quickly then after a minute or so the alarm goes off .
i'm sure these 3 beeps mean something but i don't know...
its really annoying as i can't have the alarm set without annoying people.
any fault finding help would be great..

I've also got a Laserline (just standard, not Cat 1).

The three beeps is used to test the alarm is working, when you arm the alarm and then open a protected zone (door, bonnet or boot) within 30 seconds it'll beep 3 times to tell you that it's working and has detected an opening. If this isn't remedied within the 30 seconds then the alarm will go off.

All I can assume is if the alarm beeps 3 times when you first arm it, it means that one of the protection zones isn't secured, or maybe one of the sensors isn't correctly fitted.

    Hope this helps

A light isn't staying on and drawing current? causing the alarm to go off?

    Happened to me.

I had a similar problem with an older laserline alarm - turned out to be a duff car battery.

Over the 30-60 seconds that the car was turned off and the alarm armed, it would drop enough voltage internally to set the voltage drop part of the alarm off.

Does it have the blink facility on the alarm to tell you what sensor triggered it ?
