Castle Combe Action Days are always popular among MIGClub Members and as ever, we will be having a club stand at the Summer Performance Car Action Day on the 11th September 2010. At This event we have our own prebooked MIGClub Area within the Paddock.

The Summer Action Day at Castle Combe is a great opportunity to take your Vauxhall out on a well respected race circuit in a safe and controlled environment. Drivers are encouraged to drive within the boundaries of themselves and their vehicles and the day is subject to strict rules to ensure the safety of all participants and vehicles (including no overtaking mid corner, overtaking on the right only, and no drifting). Needless to say the event is fully marshalled but really good fun.

The All New Astra Sports Tourer

The new Astra Sports Tourer will enter the UK market later this year priced at just �16,575, over �500 less than the current entry-level Astra Estate, yet incorporating a long list of additional standard kit.

Built in Britain at Vauxhall�s Ellesmere Port plant, the Astra Sports Tourer range starts with the 1.4 (100PS) ES model, which gains an extra 10PS of power over the equivalent 1.4 Astra Estate. It also adds: air conditioning, curtain airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESP), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), an aux-in socket and Active Safety Front Head Restraints, all as standard.

Billing VBOA Rally 2010 Show Report

The 2010 VBOA Rally at Billing was the best in a long time! The weather was perfect and the turnout was almost double last years total. The standard of cars on the club stand were extremely high with many contenders for club prizes. For those of you that have never been to the Billing event, it is always the second weekend of July and is a static car show for Vauxhall clubs brought together by the Vauxhall Opel and Bedford Association (VBOA).

Ampera Completes First UK Road Trip

Vauxhall today gave the most persuasive demonstration yet of its new Ampera�s core strengths of ultra-low emissions and real-world usability when a prototype car traversed seven UK counties; its production version would have enough energy left to do the same again.

The 175-mile journey started at Luton, Vauxhall�s home for the last 105 years, wound its way up the M1 and M6 motorways via Birmingham, and ended up with a tumultuous reception at the company�s UK manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

Vauxhall has announced the launch of dexos2, General Motors� own brand of high quality engine oil. Boasting improved engine cleaning properties, better protection against the build up of harmful deposits and compatible with petrol, diesel and alternatively fuelled engines, dexos2 is a complete engine lubricant product. It will be used for servicing all Vauxhall vehicles produced from the 2010 model year onwards in 5W30 grade and is a key product of GM�s global programme to harmonise oil specification.

Vauxhall has received an excellent response to its ecoFLEX Experience challenge to find the UK�s greenest driver, since the competition went live last month.

And that means that the entrants to Phase One of the competition, which tested their general knowledge of eco-driving, will now be a stage closer to winning the groundbreaking E-REV Ampera � and of course the accolade of being crowned Europe�s greenest driver.

Phase Two entrants now have until June 11 to put theory into practice through a virtual driving course on an Internet Simulator. Then,
