Peeps on this site have been really helpful in the past
with my Nova questions, hoping you can help me with my other car
My winter runabout is a DIESEL (Non-Turbo) Toyota Corolla, it's a 2.0DXL on a 'K' reg. having a problem with it, symptoms are...
When revved high, approx. over 3-3500rpm, it starts cutting out,
idle becomes jerky & sometimes it switches off, then it doesn't start for a while (engine just turns & turns).
When parked on a hill, it won't start, engine just turns & turns,
until I roll it onto flat ground, wait a minute, then it starts.
Motorway driving has become a nightmare, I can't drive more than 50-60mph (because of revs) uphill on a motorway means 40mph !!!
This problem has just appeared, car has been perfect for two years, I know it's not a vauxhall, but I'm hoping someone with diesel knowledge can help.
From what I'm told the injection pump is in the engine bay, so the fuel lines are not pressurised, I'm also told there is no ECU (could be wrong).
