Cracked radiator, no pressurisation of coolant system, dash temp gauge reading cold all time, kangarooing and misfiring at 2500rpm, mpg same as a Sherman tank. Engine very responsive at max revs.
Coolant not circulating properly, or ecu temp sensor shafted, thermostat knackered, all resulting in coolant running extremely cold and fooling ecu into "cold start rich fuelling map" constantly.
Fitted brand new radiator from Serck Intertruck - (90 quid inc VAT) flushed coolant system, fitted new ecu temp sensor from Vauxhall (20 quid) fitted new thermostat and housing from Vauxhall (20 quid)
Dash temp guage now reads blue bar lit and 2 yellow lit, and does not shift even cruising in extreme cold weather. Kangarooing is gone; hot air is fecking-scorching coming out the heater inside car. Misfire is gone, cant tell about fuel consumption yet, but its looking good. 2 hours well spent i think, even if it did cost me 140 quid for the pleasure. I'm happy and the car goes like a much more stinking stink.
