Oil way porosity in C2.0XE head
Can anyone desribe (hopefully with pictures and/or diagrams) which part of the XE head is affected?
And has anyone repaired it themselves, cause i'm dying to have a go !
If it involves drilling out the gallery and bonding in a tube then please share your secrets. I promise I wont tell anyone !
easier to make sure you buy a coscast head first time!
Coscast heads are less likely to go porous but still can do so, so the I have been told.
I have been given a porous head and therefore have nothing to lose.
So can someone please give me some clues on which tube is best, which structural adhesive to use etc. etc !
No glue is used.
The tube needs to be an interference fit when the head is stone cold.
www.v-tuning.co.uk do it for £140
I dont think its a case of just bunging in a tube. For the sake of messing up the head I would pay v-tuning to do it.
or buy another lump for bout £200 and strip it for the head.
or buy the head alone complete for roughly £140
u pay ur money u make ur choice!
