when i start my calibra from cold to warm up, i get a little smoke from the exhaust. once you rev it she becomes clear could this be a sign of some thing about to go pop
thanx for any help.
Check out my website - go to 'gotchas and tips' first
looked at your site JohnA but im a little confused as i only get smoke when i first start the car from cold.
it starts up and all is clear after about a minute it starts to smoke, if i go and give it a couple of revs to about 2500-3000 and leave it all becomes clear and you don't see any more smoke
First you have to verify that everything works as it should.
Check the cam breather pipes for blockages, and try blowing through the tiny one-way valve (small pipe)
all pipes are clear there is a little bit of oil in the pipe going to the chamber,
my car holds boost and runs fine, a little lumpy on tick over but thats probably the kent cams.
turbo passing oil mine does it smoke on tick over but no smoke when driving
i even had it reconed and it still does it cus they only change the seals not the spindle which if is worn no seal will seal it new one about 300quid so if ya got money get one if not live with it soz m8
