Ok, after washing my car, including running a hose over the engine bay (yes, yes I know, But I DID cover up the dizzy and sparkplug cover!) Anyway, I tried to start it up later but it would not play.
I already have a wee problem with a dicky rpm signal causing the starter to disengage too quickly. I tried and tried to start it to no avail. Apart from the very occasional pop it was dead. Then there was a funny wee pop and a big cloud of white smoke poured out from the bonnet!!! I look under it and found it was coming out of the oil filler cap!!!
Now I have no idea what caused this, it didn't smell, the engine was cold so I doubt it was steam, so I don't know what to do.
I took the plugs out the next day, they were cacked up bigtime! So I replaced them, cleaned the airfilter etc and tried again.
Started first time didn't it? I am wondering if I have done some damage to it (pressure buildup when turning over???) but it seems to be running sweet at the moment...
Over to you lot.
