got my corsa (was a 1.2 8v) fitted with a C20XE. Having real problems with it overheating. Obvious soloution would be to whack in a 1.6 gsi rad, but i don't think that would help. I am sure the reason it heats up so easily is because the manifold is so close to the radiator, and i don't see how putting in a bigger radiator will stop this, probably make it worse? I do have an oil cooler on there as well, not sure it is mounted in the best place though.
Also i am sure airflow to the radiator is serverly restricted by the bumper, if i put some holes in it (properly done, not just rip off chunks), especially up the top by the badge where there are holes where air could go in but they are covered with plastic...is it ok to drill these out? and do i need to put up netting overthem to stop bets of crap going in?
This must be a problem for every single Corsa and Nova C20XE transplant so people must have some good ideas on this...
