I've just changed my clutch cable and for the first few days its been absolutely silky smooth, but now its starting to creak again when i push the pedal down and release it. This is the second clutch cable i've had within a month and its doing exactly the same thing as the first!
I noticed on the last one where the cable goes through the bulkhead it sits to the side of the hole(when through at an angle) and it had rubbed off the coating on the cable, i believe that is what was creaking. So....on the new one i silicone sealed the cable to the bulkhead so it couldnt sit to the side and would always be square to the cut out.
I've run the cable in the most un-stressful way possible to the gearbox and the other end of the cable at the gearbox is sitting square to the bracket.
SO what am i doing wrong?!
