he has a nova sri, the head has cracked or warped or sumthing i dont know the details,
he is after a new head the trouble is they are quite rare on the sri model just wondering if an SR head would work(not injection though so wondering if there is a difference), or a nova gte/gsi?
they are both injection models so they may be compatable, what about astra mk heads? any of those fit?
A Nova 1.4 SR head (and the 1.4SPi/C14NZ) has square inlet ports, the SRi has round ones = no go. It's possible a 1.3 or a 1.6 GTE head may work, as these ports are round aswell. If not, there are loads of Astra 3s kicking around with the 1.4MPi/C14SE engine in, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one
the sri and gte heads hav bigger valves than the the sr heads, so ud b best stickin to one of them, gte head may need a bit skimming off to get the compression right tho
nova gte valves are way bigger than 1.2 valves, ive seen both next to each other.
Can the sri head not be repaired,
if not,why not just get a gte engine as they are much easier to come by and are cheap as chips.
