hi all,

this is a quick question egarding my mates car,

he has a nova sri, the head has cracked or warped or sumthing i dont know the details,
he is after a new head the trouble is they are quite rare on the sri model just wondering if an SR head would work(not injection though so wondering if there is a difference), or a nova gte/gsi?
they are both injection models so they may be compatable, what about astra mk heads? any of those fit?

please help as he is getting desparate!

All 8v heads are interchangeable

but for a 99% copy get.....

Corsa/astra c14nz

Single point injection, square ported head is the same as an SR head, the only difference is the camshaft due to the difference in ignition.

Multipoint injection one c14se would give nice power gains as well as a working engine as it has the best head of all the 8v's

A Nova 1.4 SR head (and the 1.4SPi/C14NZ) has square inlet ports, the SRi has round ones = no go. It's possible a 1.3 or a 1.6 GTE head may work, as these ports are round aswell. If not, there are loads of Astra 3s kicking around with the 1.4MPi/C14SE engine in, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one :)

Cheers,
Kieran
