I've been having a search and it appears that this sytem is fitted to engines with the lambda sensor and a cat. Obviously the cat doesn't have to be fitted but what about the lambda sensor and what effect will it have on an early XE?
if you unplug it then it will put the management light on and use an internal fuel map, just when you do that it seems to give a better throttle response and accelerates slightly harder.
I havent tested this on the rollers, its just my experience from trying it.
Obviously not a great idea for long term use as if the light is on all the time you wont know if you get another fault.
Air flow meters are a crap idea for performance though, hence any half decent performance car uses MAP instead.
